Lenovo has officially taken the wraps off two new Android tablets — the Idea Tab and the Tab K11 Gen 2 — aimed at delivering a balanced mix of performance, entertainment, and productivity features for global markets. These tablets pack a near-identical spec sheet, with the main differences appearing in the camera configuration and eSIM support.
At the heart of both tablets is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, clocked at 2.4GHz and paired with the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This setup promises smooth performance for everyday tasks, multitasking, and media consumption. The tablets ship with Android 15, ensuring users get the latest in UI enhancements and security features.
Memory and storage options include:
Both devices feature a vibrant 11-inch IPS LCD with a 2.5K resolution (2560×1600). Visuals are crisp and fluid, thanks to a 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The display supports 10-point multi-touch input and is fully compatible with Lenovo’s Tab Pen and Tab Pen Plus, catering to creatives and note-takers alike.
Color accuracy is also a strong point, with 72% NTSC color gamut support, making it a good choice for media viewing, light editing, and digital reading.
The Idea Tab comes equipped with a modest 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, sufficient for video calls and document scans. Meanwhile, the Tab K11 Gen 2 upgrades this with a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, offering sharper images and better video clarity for professionals and students alike.
Both models feature a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, offering immersive stereo sound for streaming and gaming. A single microphone is onboard for voice input and calls. Sensor-wise, users get:
This makes the tablets smart enough to adapt to orientation changes and lighting conditions seamlessly.
Powering the experience is a 7,040mAh battery, delivering up to 14 hours of usage on a single charge. The tablets support 20W fast charging via USB-C, ensuring quick top-ups when needed.
Connectivity options are future-ready, with support for:
The Tab K11 Gen 2 also adds eSIM support, expanding its flexibility for mobile users.
Both tablets come with a metal body, IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, and a combo 3.5mm headphone/mic jack. They measure 254.59 x 166.15 x 16.99 mm and weigh around 480 grams, striking a balance between durability and portability.
Color options include Luna Grey and Polar Blue. Lenovo has also confirmed several accessories, such as:
In addition, the Idea Tab bundle includes Lenovo E310 TWS earbuds, giving it extra value for multimedia users.
As of now, Lenovo hasn’t disclosed official pricing or availability timelines for either tablet, but with global launch announcements in place, more details are expected soon. Given their feature-rich design and productivity-first approach, both the Idea Tab and Tab K11 Gen 2 are shaping up to be solid contenders in the mid-range Android tablet space.
