LG has officially revealed its 2026 Gram laptop lineup ahead of CES, and the company is once again pushing the boundaries of lightweight laptop design. Known for delivering ultra-portable machines, LG is now pairing that trademark lightness with improved durability, discrete graphics, and a stronger focus on AI-driven features. The result is a refreshed Gram series that aims to balance power, portability, and everyday usability more effectively than before.
One of the biggest changes in the 2026 LG Gram lineup is the introduction of Aerominum, a newly developed magnesium-aluminum alloy inspired by aerospace engineering techniques. According to LG, this material allows the laptops to shed extra weight while improving structural strength at the same time.
The company claims that Aerominum offers better scratch resistance compared to previous generations, making the laptops more suitable for daily travel and long-term use. Several models in the lineup have also reportedly passed military-grade durability tests, signaling that LG is addressing a common concern about ultra-light laptops feeling fragile.
AI features are now a core part of the Gram experience. Select 2026 models qualify as Microsoft Copilot+ PCs, giving users access to next-generation Windows AI capabilities. LG is also introducing what it calls a dual AI approach, combining on-device processing with cloud-based AI features.
At the center of this is gram chat, LG’s own AI assistant powered by the EXAONE 3.5 small language model. LG has also refreshed gram Link, its cross-device connectivity feature. The updated version offers smoother file sharing and screen mirroring between Gram laptops and both Android and iOS smartphones. Support has also been expanded to include LG’s webOS ecosystem, allowing easier interaction with LG TVs and monitors. This makes the Gram lineup more appealing for users who rely on multiple devices throughout the day.

The 16-inch gram Pro AI is another highlight, weighing just 1,199 grams. Despite its low weight, it packs a large 77Wh battery and a sharp 2880×1800 OLED display. This model is aimed at users who want premium visuals and long battery life in a highly portable form factor.
