OnePlus is gearing up for a busy second half of the year, with multiple launches expected in the coming months. While the spotlight is largely on the upcoming OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6, fresh reports suggest that the company is preparing to unveil a brand-new lineup under the OnePlus Turbo branding. The new series is tipped to make its debut before the end of 2025 in China, targeting consumers who want strong performance at a more affordable price point.
According to reliable tipster Smart Pikachu, the OnePlus Turbo will be positioned as a cost-effective yet performance-driven smartphone line. Unlike the flagship-focused OnePlus 15 series, the Turbo is expected to cater to mid-range buyers, delivering power-packed performance without crossing the premium price bracket.
Reports indicate that OnePlus is preparing to price the Turbo series at under 2,000 Yuan (~$280), making it one of the most competitive devices in its segment. Despite its budget-friendly tag, the Turbo will reportedly pack a flagship-grade chipset, tuned specifically for performance, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming capabilities.
Earlier in June, tipster Digital Chat Station hinted at OnePlus’s plans to introduce a new mid-range series by the end of this year. The OnePlus Turbo seems to align perfectly with that vision, directly competing against popular rivals like Xiaomi’s Redmi series in China. By positioning the Turbo as a performance-focused device at an aggressive price, OnePlus could attract a wider customer base, especially younger users and gamers seeking value for money.
While the Turbo is still under wraps, OnePlus’s immediate focus is on its October launch event in China, where the company is expected to introduce the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6.
The OnePlus 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite 2), paired with up to 16GB of RAM. It will run Android 15 out of the box and offer multiple storage variants, including 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. Color options are said to include Black Eclipse, Arctic Dawn, and Midnight Ocean.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 6 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, giving buyers another premium option in the flagship segment.
If the leaks are accurate, the OnePlus Turbo could be the brand’s bold step into a more competitive mid-range market. By combining affordable pricing with flagship-like performance, the Turbo series may emerge as a strong challenger to Xiaomi, Realme, and iQOO in China’s high-demand budget performance category.
With the OnePlus 15 series covering the premium segment, and the Turbo lineup targeting affordability with power, OnePlus seems to be reshaping its strategy to cover a wider audience. If launched as tipped, the OnePlus Turbo could very well be the brand’s next big success story.
