Realme is gearing up to officially unveil the Realme Neo 8 in China on January 22, and the brand is steadily building excitement ahead of the launch. After confirming key specifications and teasing the purple variant earlier, Realme has now released official renders that reveal all the color options of the upcoming smartphone. These images not only showcase the device’s design but also hint at Realme’s continued focus on performance-oriented aesthetics.
According to the official images, the Realme Neo 8 features a glass back panel paired with a metal middle frame, giving it a premium in-hand feel. A closer look at the rear design reveals RGB lighting elements, reminiscent of the lighting system previously seen on the Realme GT Neo 5. This RGB accent adds a dynamic touch to the phone’s design, likely appealing to gamers and users who enjoy customizable visual effects.
Reports suggest that the Realme Neo 8 will sport a large 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The highlight here is the ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, which should deliver a fluid experience during gaming, scrolling, and everyday use.
For security and convenience, the device is expected to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. On the software side, the phone will come preloaded with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, offering the latest features and system optimizations.
Under the hood, the Realme Neo 8 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, positioning it as a performance-focused smartphone. It may be offered with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, making it well-suited for heavy multitasking and demanding applications.
To support extended usage, the device is rumored to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, which could be a major highlight in this segment.
In the camera department, the Realme Neo 8 is expected to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the rear, the phone could house a versatile triple-camera setup, including an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. This setup suggests a strong focus on both photography and zoom capabilities.
The Realme Neo 8 is also tipped to come with several premium features, including dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and NFC support. The phone is said to carry an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance, adding to its durability credentials.
Despite packing a large battery, the device is expected to measure around 8.3mm in thickness and weigh approximately 215 grams, which is reasonable considering its specifications.
The newly shared renders confirm that the Realme Neo 8 will be available in three color options: Origin White, Mecha Grey, and Cyber Purple. Each variant carries a distinct personality, catering to different user preferences.

Origin White offers a clean and minimal look, appealing to users who prefer understated elegance. Mecha Grey leans toward a more industrial, performance-driven style, while Cyber Purple stands out with a bold and futuristic appearance that reflects Realme’s gaming-inspired design language.
In the Chinese market, the Realme Neo 8 will compete with performance-focused smartphones like the iQOO Z11 Turbo and the OnePlus Ace 6T. There are also rumors suggesting that the Neo 8 could be rebranded as the Realme GT 8 for global markets, following Realme’s previous naming strategies.
With its bold color options, RGB-accented design, and flagship-grade specifications, the Realme Neo 8 is shaping up to be a compelling performance smartphone. As the January 22 launch date approaches, the official renders give a clear preview of what users can expect in terms of design and style. All eyes are now on Realme to confirm pricing and availability, which will ultimately determine how competitive the Neo 8 will be in its segment.
