Redmi has officially confirmed the launch date of its highly anticipated Redmi Note 15 Pro+. The smartphone is set to debut on August 21 in China, as announced through the brand’s official Weibo handle. While the announcement highlights only the Pro+ variant, it is widely expected that the standard Redmi Note 15 and the Redmi Note 15 Pro will also be unveiled at the same event.
According to the official images shared by Redmi, the Note 15 Pro+ is being positioned as a device that blends elegant design with rugged durability. It will be the first Redmi smartphone to adopt a symmetrical micro-curved design on both the front and back. This design approach not only enhances aesthetics but also ensures a more natural and comfortable grip.
Redmi revealed that achieving this finish required advanced glass processing and a significant investment, making it a design element usually found in flagship-tier devices.
On the durability front, the Note 15 Pro+ brings Redmi’s strongest dual-side protection system to date. The phone incorporates Xiaomi’s Crystal Glass on the front for superior screen protection, paired with a fibreglass back that is lightweight yet highly resistant to bending and impacts.
The company claims that this dual-layer setup delivers 10 times better drop resistance compared to conventional designs. In fact, the Note 15 Pro+ is the first smartphone in the industry to pass a granite surface drop test from a height of 2 metres, repeated 50 times—emphasizing its toughness alongside its premium form factor.
While Redmi has not yet revealed the official hardware details, several leaks and reports have provided an early glimpse of what to expect:
If these rumored specifications prove accurate, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ could be one of the most feature-packed smartphones in the Note lineup to date, offering both performance and durability for everyday use.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is shaping up to be a significant release for the brand, combining premium design elements with cutting-edge durability and flagship-level hardware. With its official launch scheduled for August 21, anticipation is building among fans eager to see if the device can redefine expectations in the mid-range smartphone category.
