Tecno is set to make waves at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona with the introduction of its latest innovation—the Tecno Spark Slim. This concept smartphone is turning heads with its ultra-slim 5.75mm profile while packing a robust 5,200mAh battery, a feat unmatched in the industry.
The Tecno Spark Slim stands out as a marvel of engineering, crafted with cutting-edge materials. The device is made from fully recycled aluminum using an integrated die-casting process and features a stainless steel frame, combining durability with a sleek design. At just 5.75mm thick, it is being advertised as the world's slimmest smartphone to house such a high-capacity battery.
The Spark Slim will boast a stunning 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, ensuring crisp and vibrant visuals. Its 144Hz refresh rate provides ultra-smooth scrolling and gaming experiences, while the peak brightness of 4,500 nits enhances visibility even under direct sunlight.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear camera setup, which comprises a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside another 50-megapixel secondary camera. This configuration is expected to deliver high-quality, detailed shots in various lighting conditions. On the front, a 13-megapixel selfie camera will cater to selfie lovers and video callers alike.
While Tecno has yet to disclose the exact chipset powering the Spark Slim, it is confirmed to run on an octa-core CPU, ensuring smooth performance for multitasking and gaming. The 5,200mAh battery is another highlight, providing extended usage on a single charge. Despite its impressive capacity, the battery is remarkably thin at just 4.04mm. Moreover, it supports 45W fast charging, enabling quick top-ups for users on the go.
Tecno has not yet revealed the pricing and availability of the Spark Slim. Since it is being introduced as a concept smartphone, more details are likely to be unveiled during MWC 2025, scheduled to take place from March 3 to March 6 in Barcelona, Spain. If it moves beyond the concept phase, the Tecno Spark Slim could position itself as a strong competitor to flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the rumored iPhone 17 Slim (or Air).
As anticipation builds, all eyes are on Tecno’s booth at MWC 2025, where the Spark Slim will be showcased. With its record-breaking thinness, advanced display, and powerful battery, this concept phone could redefine the future of ultra-slim smartphones.
