Thunderobot is preparing to enter the global mini gaming PC market with a serious contender. After debuting in China, the company’s powerful Mix G2 Mini PC is now expected to launch internationally, putting it directly in competition with ASUS’s latest ROG NUC lineup. Designed for gamers and creators who want desktop-grade performance in a compact form, the Mix G2 brings cutting-edge hardware into an impressively small chassis.
Thunderobot first introduced the Mix G2 Mini PC in China back in November 2025, positioning it as a high-performance gaming system in a tiny footprint. Now, the company has teased its international debut, confirming plans to take the device beyond its home market. The Mix G2 will not launch alone, as Thunderobot is expected to showcase it alongside the Zero Air gaming laptop, signaling a broader global push for the brand.
Despite its small size, the Mix G2 is built to deliver uncompromising performance. The mini PC features a body measuring just 3.2 liters, making it significantly smaller than traditional gaming desktops. This compact design targets users who want a clean setup without sacrificing raw power, whether for gaming, content creation, or professional workloads.
At the heart of the Thunderobot Mix G2 is Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. This high-end chip offers 24 cores and 24 threads, with clock speeds reaching up to 5.4GHz. With a maximum TDP of 120W, the processor is designed to handle demanding tasks efficiently. It also features an integrated NPU capable of delivering up to 36 TOPS of AI computing, making it suitable for AI-assisted workloads and future-ready applications.
The highlight of the Mix G2 is its top-tier graphics configuration. The mini PC can be equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, based on the Blackwell architecture. This graphics card features 24GB of GDDR7 memory, 10,496 CUDA cores, and delivers up to 1,824 TOPS of AI performance, with a maximum TDP of 175W. While this represents the highest-end variant, Thunderobot is also expected to offer more affordable configurations, including options with the RTX 5080.
With its combination of a flagship Intel processor and NVIDIA’s most powerful GPU, the Mix G2 is clearly positioned to compete with the ASUS ROG NUC 2025 model. Both systems aim to deliver desktop-level gaming performance in compact enclosures, but Thunderobot’s aggressive hardware choices suggest it is targeting enthusiasts who want maximum power in minimal space.
Thunderobot is expected to officially unveil the Mix G2 Mini Gaming PC for global markets at CES 2026. The event is scheduled to begin on January 6, where the company is likely to reveal final specifications, configurations, and availability details for international buyers.
The Thunderobot Mix G2 Mini PC stands out as an ambitious entry into the high-performance mini gaming PC segment. By combining Intel’s Core Ultra 9 processor with NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 GPU in a 3.2-liter chassis, Thunderobot is clearly aiming to challenge established players like ASUS. If pricing and availability align well, the Mix G2 could become a compelling option for gamers and creators looking for extreme performance in a compact form factor.
