Nothing has officially started rolling out the Nothing OS 4.1 update, bringing a fresh set of features and improvements to its growing lineup of smartphones. The update first appeared on the Nothing Phone (3) and is now gradually expanding to several other devices, including both flagship and mid-range models.

Devices Receiving Nothing OS 4.1 Update
The latest software update is now reaching a wide range of Nothing and CMF devices. Here’s the list of supported smartphones:
- Nothing Phone (3)
- Nothing Phone (3a)
- Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
- Nothing Phone (2)
- Nothing Phone (2a)
- Nothing Phone (2a) Plus
- CMF Phone 2 Pro
- CMF Phone 1
The only model currently missing is the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, which the company has confirmed will receive the update sometime in May.
Since the rollout is happening in phases, not all users will get it at the same time. If the update hasn’t shown up yet, users can manually check by heading to Settings > System > System Update.
New Breathing Break Widgets for Daily Wellness
One of the more unique additions in Nothing OS 4.1 is a set of Breathing Break widgets. These are designed to help users pause during a busy day and focus on simple breathing exercises. With a single tap, the widget starts a guided timer that walks users through inhaling and exhaling patterns, making it a subtle yet useful addition for mental wellness.
Essential Voice: AI-Powered Transcription Tool
The update also introduces Essential Voice, an AI-driven voice-to-text feature that supports more than 100 languages. This includes popular Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil, making it especially useful for a wider audience.
However, this feature is not available on the Nothing Phone (2) and CMF Phone 1, while all other supported devices are getting it as part of the update.
AI Eraser and Enhanced Gallery Features
Nothing OS 4.1 finally brings the AI Eraser tool to the Nothing Gallery app. This feature can automatically detect unwanted elements like background people or reflections and remove them seamlessly. Users also have the option to manually select areas for removal, giving more control over photo editing.
Improved Glyph Experience and Live Updates
The update enhances the Glyph Interface experience by extending live updates to work more deeply with the Glyph Matrix. Notifications and real-time updates are now more visible and consistent across different parts of the system, including:
- Always-On Display
- Lock Screen
- Status Bar
- Notifications
This makes it easier for users to stay informed without constantly unlocking their phones.
New Clock Design and System Improvements
Nothing has also added a new clock face, originally designed by community member @jadzok for the Phone (3a) Community Edition. This highlights the brand’s ongoing focus on community-driven design.
Beyond new features, the update also includes the April 2026 security patch, along with several bug fixes and performance optimizations to ensure a smoother overall experience.
Final Thoughts
Nothing OS 4.1 may not look like a massive overhaul at first glance, but it brings a thoughtful mix of AI tools, wellness features, and system improvements. From smarter photo editing to better notification handling and voice transcription, the update focuses on making everyday tasks simpler and more efficient.
If you own a supported device, it’s definitely worth checking for the update over the next few days as it continues rolling out
