Realme C100i Specifications
Large 6.8-inch 120Hz Display
The Realme C100i comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For a budget smartphone, the high refresh rate is a nice addition and should make scrolling through apps, websites and social media feel smoother.
The display has a 720 × 1570 pixel resolution with around 254ppi pixel density. It isn’t a Full HD+ panel, so users looking for sharper text and images may find the resolution a little basic. Still, the large screen should be useful for watching videos, browsing and everyday use.
Realme is also using either Panda MN228 or Corning Gorilla Glass for display protection, depending on the market or version.
Unisoc T7250 Handles Everyday Tasks
Powering the Realme C100i is the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12nm process. The processor features two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 1.6GHz.
Graphics are handled by the Mali-G57 MP1 GPU.
This hardware is aimed at basic and everyday smartphone use. Apps such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Chrome and social media should be fine, while lighter games can also be played. However, this isn’t a phone designed for demanding gaming or heavy multitasking.
The C100i comes in several memory configurations, including 4GB and 6GB RAM, with storage going up to 256GB.
microSD Card Support
One useful feature is the inclusion of a microSDXC card slot. Users who need more space can expand the storage instead of depending only on the built-in memory.
The internal storage uses eMMC 5.1 technology. While this isn’t as fast as UFS storage found on more expensive phones, it is common in this budget segment.
The available configurations are:
- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 4GB RAM + 256GB storage
8MP Rear Camera
Camera hardware is fairly simple on the Realme C100i. The phone has a single 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus.
The camera supports HDR, panorama and an LED flash. It can record videos at up to 1080p at 30fps.
On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Front camera video recording goes up to 720p at 30fps.
The camera setup is more suited to casual photography, video calls and social media rather than users who want detailed mobile photography.
Huge 7000mAh Battery
The biggest highlight of the Realme C100i is probably its battery. The phone packs a 7000mAh Si/C lithium-ion battery, which is quite large for a smartphone in this price range.
With a battery of this size, the C100i should comfortably handle long periods of browsing, video playback and regular daily use. Heavy users can also benefit from less frequent charging.
Charging is rated at 15W wired, with support for PD and QC charging. The phone also supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to provide power to another compatible device when needed.
Charging isn’t particularly fast, but the large battery is clearly designed to make up for it.
Durable Build and Drop Resistance
The Realme C100i has a glass front with a plastic frame and plastic back. It measures 166.5 x 78.2 x 8.4mm and weighs 208 grams.
Realme has also focused on durability. The phone comes with IP64 dust and water resistance, meaning it can handle dust and water splashes.
It is also rated for drop resistance of up to 2 meters and is listed as MIL-STD-810H compliant. However, this does not mean the device is completely rugged or suitable for extreme environments. The actual level of protection can vary depending on usage conditions.
3.5mm Headphone Jack and Connectivity
Unlike many modern smartphones, the Realme C100i still has a 3.5mm headphone jack. This is useful for people who prefer wired headphones or don’t want to use wireless earbuds all the time.
Wireless connectivity includes dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The phone supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BDS for positioning.
There is no NFC, while wired connectivity is handled by a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support.
For security, the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor and compass.
Android 16 Out of the Box
The Realme C100i runs Android 16, giving users access to the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.
Realme’s software experience is designed around everyday usability, with the phone’s hardware aimed at users who mainly need a dependable device for communication, entertainment and basic apps.
Realme C100i Price in India
The expected price of the Realme C100i starts at ₹11,990 in India. Pricing can vary based on the RAM and storage configuration.
The phone is offered in two color options:
- Dawn Purple
- Dusk Gray
At this price, the combination of a 7000mAh battery, 120Hz display, microSD support and durable build makes the C100i an interesting budget option.
Should You Buy the Realme C100i?
The Realme C100i looks like a practical choice for buyers who don’t want to spend too much on a smartphone. Its 7000mAh battery is the main reason to consider it, while the 120Hz screen adds a nice touch for everyday use.
The inclusion of microSD support and a 3.5mm headphone jack is also useful for budget buyers who still prefer these features. Its durability-focused design makes it more appealing for users who want a phone that can handle occasional drops and water splashes.
However, the 720p display, basic cameras, eMMC storage and relatively slow 15W charging show that some compromises have been made to keep the price down.
Final Verdict
The Realme C100i is a straightforward budget smartphone that puts battery life and durability ahead of premium features. The 7000mAh battery, 120Hz display, expandable storage and IP64 protection gives it a practical edge in its segment.
Starting at around ₹11,990 in India, it could be a good fit for students, casual users and anyone who mainly wants long battery life without spending a lot. Just don’t expect flagship-level camera quality or gaming performance from this phone.
