Tecno has expanded its luxury smartphone lineup with the new Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. The phone comes from Tecno’s partnership with Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini, bringing a more premium design and exclusive software experience to the Pova series.
The partnership was first announced in March, followed by the launch of the Pova Metal Tonino Lamborghini Edition. The new Pova 8 Pro variant takes the same approach but gives the more performance-focused Pova 8 Pro a distinctive Lamborghini-inspired makeover.
While the hardware specifications remain largely unchanged from the standard Pova 8 Pro, the Limited Edition is designed to stand apart through its exterior finish, custom interface and exclusive visual details.
A Lamborghini-Inspired Design
The biggest difference between the regular Pova 8 Pro and this special edition is its design. Tecno has added several red accents to the rear panel, giving the phone a noticeably sportier appearance.
The triangular rear camera module is surrounded by red detailing. Inside the module are two camera sensors, an LED flash and Tecno’s matrix display. The design creates a mechanical and performance-oriented look that fits the Tonino Lamborghini identity.
A red power button adds another small but noticeable touch to the exterior. The rear panel also features a vertically positioned red element called the “Pulse Line,” which runs through the center of the phone.
The Pulse Line isn’t simply a strip of color. It features a special pattern that changes its appearance as light hits the surface, adding some visual movement to the back of the device.
Completing the design is a metallic, embossed Tonino Lamborghini logo. The branding gives the phone a more exclusive appearance without changing the overall Pova 8 Pro design language.
Custom Software Matches the Hardware
Tecno hasn’t limited the collaboration to the outside of the smartphone. The Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition also receives a redesigned software experience.
The phone comes with a custom boot animation, a specially designed lockscreen, live wallpaper, customized icons and widgets. These changes are intended to make the limited-edition experience feel different from the standard Pova 8 Pro from the moment the phone is switched on.
The Alive Matrix Display also receives special effects created specifically for the Tonino Lamborghini edition. This gives the rear display a role beyond simply showing information, making it part of the phone’s overall design identity.
For buyers who care about exclusivity, these software additions could be just as important as the physical styling.
144Hz AMOLED Display
The Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The high refresh rate should make everyday interactions feel smooth, particularly when scrolling through apps, navigating menus and playing games that support higher frame rates. AMOLED technology also allows the display to deliver strong contrast and deep blacks, making it suitable for multimedia consumption.
The large screen is clearly aimed at users who enjoy gaming and entertainment, which fits with the performance-focused nature of the Pova series.
Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G Chipset
Powering the smartphone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset. The processor provides 5G connectivity while giving the device enough performance headroom for demanding applications and gaming.
Tecno has also included a dedicated P1 graphics chip. The company claims that this additional chip can help improve gaming performance, making the phone more appealing to users who spend considerable time playing games.
The combination of the Dimensity chipset and dedicated graphics hardware is one of the more interesting aspects of the Pova 8 Pro platform, particularly for a phone that places such a strong emphasis on its gaming capabilities.
50MP Sony Camera and Ultrawide Lens
The rear camera system combines a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with an 8MP ultrawide camera.
The Sony sensor serves as the main camera for everyday photography, while the ultrawide lens provides a wider perspective for landscapes, group photos and situations where fitting more into the frame is useful.
For selfies and video calls, the phone comes with a 13MP front-facing camera.
Although the camera hardware isn’t the main focus of the Tonino Lamborghini collaboration, the setup gives the smartphone a versatile enough configuration for everyday photography.
Large 6,500mAh Battery
Battery life is another major part of the Pova 8 Pro’s appeal. The Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition packs a 6,500mAh battery, providing a substantial power reserve for gaming, video streaming, social media and other daily activities.
A large battery is particularly useful on a performance-oriented smartphone because demanding games and high-refresh-rate displays can consume more power than typical everyday use.
Tecno has also added a customizable One-Tap button, giving users another way to access selected functions quickly. The ability to customize the button should make it useful for different types of users rather than restricting it to a single predefined task.
Up to 12GB RAM and 512GB Storage
The Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
That combination gives the phone plenty of room for applications, games, photos, videos and other files. The higher RAM configuration should also help when switching between multiple applications.
For users who keep large game libraries or record lots of high-resolution media, the 512GB storage option offers considerably more flexibility than lower-capacity configurations.
Final Thoughts
The Tecno Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition is less about introducing a completely new smartphone and more about giving an existing performance-focused device a distinctive luxury identity.
Its red accents, changing Pulse Line, metallic Tonino Lamborghini branding and custom software make it visually different from the regular Pova 8 Pro. Underneath the special styling, buyers still get a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset, dedicated P1 graphics chip, 50MP Sony main camera and a large 6,500mAh battery.
With up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, the phone also has the hardware to appeal to users who want strong everyday performance. For fans of limited-edition smartphones, the combination of Pova’s gaming-focused hardware and Tonino Lamborghini’s distinctive styling makes this a particularly interesting addition to Tecno’s lineup.
