Acer has officially introduced the Predator Orion 7000 gaming desktop in China, expanding its high-end Predator lineup with cutting-edge hardware aimed at enthusiasts, creators, and competitive gamers. The new desktop combines Intel’s latest Core Ultra 9 285K processor with Nvidia’s powerful RTX 5080 GPU, positioning it as a serious performance machine for next-generation gaming and AI-driven workloads.
Designed with premium cooling, advanced connectivity, and a striking chassis, the Predator Orion 7000 reflects Acer’s focus on both raw power and refined aesthetics.
At the heart of the Predator Orion 7000 is Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285K processor. This flagship CPU features a 24-core configuration with 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, delivering boost clock speeds of up to 5.7GHz. The processor also integrates a dedicated NPU, enabling faster AI-driven tasks across gaming, content creation, and productivity applications.
Acer has paired the processor with a Z890 chipset and configured a 200W PL1 power limit, allowing the system to sustain high performance during extended gaming sessions and heavy workloads without throttling.
Graphics duties are handled by the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, one of the most powerful GPUs in Nvidia’s latest lineup. The card comes equipped with next-generation GDDR7 memory and supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, delivering smoother gameplay and improved frame rates in demanding titles.
The RTX 5080 also offers up to 1800 TOPS of AI computing power, making the Predator Orion 7000 well-suited for AI-assisted rendering, advanced simulations, and future-ready gaming experiences.
To keep high-end components running cool, Acer has equipped the Predator Orion 7000 with its FrostBlade X360 thermal system. The desktop features a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler along with three ARGB fans, ensuring efficient heat dissipation even under heavy loads.
The chassis includes panoramic tempered glass side panels with EMI shielding, allowing users to showcase internal components while maintaining signal integrity. The system also supports 16.7 million color ARGB lighting, which can be fully customized using PredatorSense software. Acer has also incorporated sustainability into the design, using 85 percent PCR recycled plastic in the build.
The Predator Orion 7000 ships with 64GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and supports expansion up to 128GB via four DIMM slots, offering ample headroom for multitasking and professional workflows.
Storage options are equally impressive. The system includes a 2TB SSD out of the box and supports one PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot, two PCIe Gen4 M.2 slots, and a hot-swappable SSD bay. Additionally, two 3.5-inch HDD bays are available for users who need extra mass storage.
Acer has equipped the Predator Orion 7000 with a wide range of connectivity options. These include Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen1 and Gen2 Type-A ports, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort outputs, RJ45 Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 6E support.
The top I/O section features three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack for quick access. For audio, the system supports DTS:X Ultra, delivering immersive spatial sound for gaming and media consumption.
