Ubisoft has unveiled the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed Mirage for iPhone and iPad, set to launch on June 6. In an announcement shared on LinkedIn, Ubisoft Sofia expressed pride in their efforts to adapt the game's controls seamlessly to the touch screen, promising an intuitive and engaging gaming experience.
Mirage joins the illustrious lineup of the Assassin's Creed franchise, which has captivated audiences for nearly two decades. While initially debuting on consoles and PC in October of the previous year, Mirage marks a significant milestone as the first mainline Assassin's Creed title to make its way to mobile platforms.
The game made its debut during Apple's iPhone 15 event last September, initially slated for an "early next year" release. However, the anticipated launch date was delayed, with speculation suggesting a synchronised unveiling with WWDC 2024.
Assassin's Creed Mirage will be compatible with iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads equipped with M1 and newer chips. There's been no official confirmation regarding compatibility with M-series Macs.
Players can now 'pre-order' the game, essentially securing their copy for automatic download upon release on June 6. While the App Store indicates a June 10 availability date, it remains unclear whether this discrepancy is an error on Apple's part or Ubisoft's. The game will be offered as a free download with optional in-app purchases for full access.
