Casio has officially brought its first automatic watch lineup to India under the EDIFICE brand with the launch of the EFK-100 series. This marks a significant step for the brand, expanding beyond quartz into the realm of mechanical timepieces tailored for enthusiasts who appreciate engineering precision and timeless design.
The new collection features five models: EFK-100XPB-1A, EFK-100CD-1A, EFK-100D-2A, EFK-100D-3A, and EFK-100D-7A, each blending Casio’s motorsport-inspired aesthetics with robust mechanical performance.
Leading the lineup is the flagship EFK-100XPB-1A, which stands out with its forged carbon dial and case, paired with a sporty urethane band. The EFK-100CD-1A also features forged carbon, though only in the dial. The remaining models recreate the forged carbon’s unique texture using an electroforming process, delivering the same marbled aesthetic that sets the collection apart.
Forged carbon, often used in aerospace and high-performance automotive applications, is prized for its lightweight strength and distinctive appearance. By integrating this material into the EFK-100 series, Casio emphasizes both durability and cutting-edge style.
All five watches in the series are powered by a mechanical movement offering both automatic and manual winding. They deliver a power reserve of around 40 hours, with a mean daily accuracy of -35 to +45 seconds, running at 21,600 vibrations per hour and utilizing 24 jewels.
A see-through case back showcases the movement in action, enhancing the watch’s appeal for mechanical watch enthusiasts. The models also include practical features such as a hacking seconds hand, date display, and phosphorescent-tipped hands for nighttime readability.
Casio has paid close attention to design details that reflect the EDIFICE spirit. Hollowed sections on the hands improve visibility, while mirror-finished beveled indexes and a finely ground dial ring add depth and sophistication. The EFK-100XPB-1A comes with a forged carbon case and urethane strap, while the other models adopt stainless steel bracelets with a mix of polished and brushed finishes.
For added durability, the collection incorporates sapphire crystal glass and 10-bar water resistance, ensuring the watches perform as reliably in daily life as they do in demanding environments.
Casio has positioned the EFK-100XPB-1A as the flagship model with a price tag of ₹39,995, while the EFK-100CD-1A, EFK-100D-2A, EFK-100D-3A, and EFK-100D-7A are each available at ₹25,995. The entire lineup is now available across Casio stores and leading online platforms in India.
With the EFK-100 series, Casio has expanded its EDIFICE range into mechanical territory for the first time in India. By combining forged carbon innovation, precise automatic movements, and the brand’s signature motorsport-inspired design, Casio has created a lineup that balances performance, durability, and modern luxury—all at an accessible price point for enthusiasts.
