DJI has officially launched the Osmo Action 6 for global markets, just days after its initial debut in China. The latest action camera aims to deliver a significant upgrade in video quality, durability, and creative flexibility. With a larger sensor, variable aperture, improved displays, and an enhanced battery, the Osmo Action 6 is designed for travelers, vloggers, athletes, and content creators who need a compact yet powerful camera that performs reliably in all environments.
The Osmo Action 6 features a dual OLED display setup consisting of a 1.46-inch front screen and a larger 2.5-inch rear touchscreen. Both panels offer up to 800 nits of brightness, ensuring great visibility even under direct sunlight. This dual-screen design makes framing shots easier, whether you're shooting selfies, vlogs, or capturing action scenes on the move.
DJI has maintained a rugged build quality with a cold-resistant body and an impressive waterproof rating of up to 20 meters without needing an external housing. This makes the Osmo Action 6 ideal for underwater shoots, rainy treks, and extreme outdoor conditions.
One of the most notable upgrades is the bigger 1/1.1-inch image sensor, which significantly enhances low-light performance, color accuracy, and dynamic range. It offers a wide 155-degree field of view, giving users an expansive perspective perfect for landscapes and action shots.
The camera also introduces a variable aperture ranging from f/2.0 to f/4.0. This allows creators to adapt to different lighting conditions, control depth of field, and capture cinematic visuals with greater control than previous models.
The Osmo Action 6 offers multiple video modes tailored for both casual users and professionals. It can record 4K videos at 60fps and also supports 4K at 120fps for detailed slow-motion footage. For photography, the camera can capture high-resolution images up to 38MP, ensuring crisp and detailed stills.
Whether shooting fast-paced sports, underwater scenes, or low-light environments, the combination of the larger sensor and flexible aperture helps produce high-quality results.
Powering the device is a 1,950mAh battery pack (7.5Wh) capable of delivering up to 4 hours of usage on a full charge. This extended battery life makes it ideal for long travel days, outdoor adventures, and continuous recording sessions without frequent recharging.
DJI has added several helpful features to enhance usability and connectivity. The OsmoAudio Direct Microphone connection supports better audio capture through external mics, making it convenient for vloggers and filmmakers.
The camera also includes 50GB of built-in storage, ensuring you always have space for essential footage even if you forget a memory card.
