Huawei has officially confirmed key details about its upcoming tri-fold flagship, the Mate XTs, which is set to debut in China on September 4, 2025. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed the device’s design highlights, color options, storage configurations, and even opened pre-reservations.
In a newly released teaser video featuring actress Yang Mi, Huawei showcased the Mate XTs in a fresh hibiscus purple finish. The video also highlights support for a stylus, marking the first time a Huawei tri-fold will feature pen input. The stylus can be used for note-taking, annotations, and creative tasks, adding extra functionality for professionals and creators.
Alongside hibiscus purple, the premium Mate XTs Extraordinary Master Edition will be available in black, red, white, and purple, offering users a wider range of elegant color choices.
Huawei is offering the Mate XTs with impressive memory and storage options, catering to different user needs:
With these configurations, Huawei ensures there’s enough space for heavy multitasking, large media libraries, and professional workflows. Pre-reservations officially opened today at 10:08 AM CST, giving early adopters the chance to secure their unit.
On the design front, the Mate XTs maintains Huawei’s familiar octagonal lens module. The setup includes a main camera, ultra-wide-angle lens, periscope zoom lens, and a new Red Maple Primary Color Camera.
First introduced with the Mate 70 series, the Red Maple camera is a multispectral sensor capable of capturing a wider range of light channels. This technology enables more true-to-life colors, ensuring improved accuracy across the main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses.
At its core, the Mate XTs is expected to be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9020 chipset. The processor features a 1+3+4 CPU architecture with a 2.5GHz Taishan prime core, three 2.15GHz mid-cores, and four 1.6GHz efficiency cores. Paired with the Maleoon 920 GPU clocked at 840MHz, the Mate XTs promises smooth graphics performance for gaming, productivity, and multimedia tasks.
Adding to its versatility, the device will also support satellite communication, further boosting connectivity in remote or emergency scenarios.
With its elegant design, powerful hardware, and groundbreaking camera technology, the Huawei Mate XTs is shaping up to be one of the most advanced foldables on the market. The addition of stylus support and massive storage options makes it an appealing choice for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Huawei has once again managed to stir anticipation, and with pre-reservations already live, the countdown to its official unveiling has truly begun.
