Motorola is all set to unveil its new Signature series smartphone tomorrow, but ahead of the official launch, a detailed specification leak has already surfaced. Shared by reliable tipster Evan Blass, the leak reveals almost everything about the upcoming Motorola Signature, and it clearly positions the device as a top-tier Android flagship.
From the latest Snapdragon chipset and a high-end camera system to fast charging and long-term software support, the Motorola Signature appears to be Motorola’s most ambitious smartphone yet.
The Motorola Signature is expected to sit at the very top of the company’s lineup, combining premium design, powerful hardware, and future-ready software support. Based on the leaked details, the phone closely matches earlier rumors surrounding the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, suggesting this could be the final commercial name for the same device.
At the core of the Motorola Signature is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This chipset is designed for flagship-level performance, improved power efficiency, and enhanced AI capabilities.
The processor will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and lag-free performance even under heavy workloads. Storage options are expected to go as high as 1TB of UFS 4.1, offering ultra-fast read and write speeds along with ample space for apps, games, photos, and videos.
The leaked specs suggest that the Motorola Signature will feature a large 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,780 x 1,264 pixels. The panel is expected to support a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering extremely smooth animations and a responsive gaming experience.
The display is also said to integrate a 50MP selfie camera using the LYT 500 sensor. For security, Motorola is reportedly using an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded under the display. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, adding durability against drops and scratches.
Motorola appears to be focusing heavily on camera performance with the Signature series. According to the leak, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup, all based on high-resolution sensors.
The main camera will use a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 sensor with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor size and an f/1.6 aperture. This setup should offer excellent low-light performance, better dynamic range, and detailed shots across various lighting conditions.
The second camera is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens using the Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. It features a 71mm focal length and supports 3x optical zoom, making it suitable for portrait photography and zoomed-in shots without quality loss.
The third rear camera is a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 12mm equivalent focal length. This lens will also double as a macro shooter, allowing users to capture close-up shots with fine detail.
The Motorola Signature is expected to pack a 5,200mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day even with heavy usage. Charging is another strong area for the device.
According to the leak, the phone will support 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Notably, Motorola is expected to include its 90W TurboPower charger in the box, which is a welcome move at a time when many brands are removing chargers from flagship packages.
The device is said to feature both IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, offering strong protection against splashes, submersion, and high-pressure water jets.
In terms of dimensions, the Motorola Signature is expected to measure 162.1 x 76.4 x 6.99mm and weigh around 186 grams. Despite its large display and battery, the phone appears to maintain a slim and lightweight profile for its class.
On the software side, the Motorola Signature is expected to run Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is reportedly committing to an impressive 7 years of OS updates and security patches, bringing it in line with the best long-term support policies in the Android ecosystem.
This extended update promise makes the Signature a strong option for users who plan to keep their phone for several years.
Based on the leaked specifications, the Motorola Signature is shaping up to be a complete flagship smartphone with very few compromises. The combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance, a high-refresh-rate LTPO AMOLED display, versatile 50MP camera setup, fast wired and wireless charging, and long-term software support makes it one of Motorola’s most compelling devices to date.
With the official launch just around the corner, all eyes are now on Motorola to see how the Signature is priced and whether it can take on other premium Android flagships in the market.
