Motorola has officially expanded its popular Moto G lineup with the launch of two new midrange smartphones — the Moto G77 and Moto G67. While both devices share a similar design language and core features, Motorola has clearly positioned the Moto G77 as the more premium option by offering a stronger chipset, more RAM, and a significantly upgraded camera system. Here’s a detailed look at what these newly announced smartphones bring to the table.
Both the Moto G77 and Moto G67 feature a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display that delivers an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Motorola has also pushed brightness levels impressively high, with up to 5,000 nits of peak local brightness, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility.
The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, adding durability against scratches and minor drops. Embedded fingerprint scanners are integrated into the screens, and both phones sport a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The main difference between the two models lies in performance hardware.
The Moto G77 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. This combination makes it better suited for multitasking, gaming, and long-term use. Storage can be expanded further thanks to a microSD card slot.
The Moto G67 runs on the slightly less powerful Dimensity 6300 chipset and comes with 4GB of RAM. While it’s not as capable as the G77, it still offers solid everyday performance for regular usage, including social media, streaming, and light gaming. Like the G77, it also supports microSD card expansion.
Motorola has made notable improvements to the camera hardware, especially on the Moto G77.
The Moto G77 becomes the first Moto G-series phone to feature a 108MP main camera. This sensor supports 9-in-1 pixel-binning technology and offers 3x lossless zoom, making it ideal for detailed photography in various lighting conditions. The main camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture.
The Moto G67 features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor as its primary camera, paired with the same 8MP ultrawide lens found on the G77. While it lacks the high-resolution advantage of the G77, it should still deliver reliable photo quality for everyday shots.
Both smartphones are equipped with a 5,200mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day or more on a single charge. Charging is handled via 30W wired fast charging.
On the software side, the Moto G77 and Moto G67 ship with Android 16 out of the box, running Motorola’s Hello UX on top. Additional features include IP64-rated water and dust resistance, making both phones more resilient to daily wear and tear.
Motorola has priced both devices competitively for the midrange segment.
