Fresh leaks surrounding Oppo’s next-generation flagship smartphone are starting to surface, and the Oppo Find X10 Pro is already shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium camera phone segment. According to a new rumor shared by well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo has reportedly begun internal testing of a powerful new camera system for the upcoming Find X10 series, which is expected to arrive later this year.
If the leak is accurate, the Oppo Find X10 Pro could feature an impressive dual 200MP camera setup, a first for the brand. The device is said to include a 200MP primary camera alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and notably, both cameras are rumored to use large 1/1.3-inch type sensors.
This would represent a significant step forward, particularly for zoom photography. A larger sensor allows more light to be captured, which generally translates into better image quality, improved low-light performance, and enhanced detail retention—especially at higher zoom levels.
For context, the Oppo Find X9 Pro, which launched in October last year, came equipped with a 50MP main camera using a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a smaller 1/1.56-inch sensor.
With the Find X10 Pro, Oppo appears to be significantly upgrading the telephoto camera’s sensor size. This change alone could make a noticeable difference in zoom shots, reducing noise and improving clarity in challenging lighting conditions. While the main camera’s sensor size may remain roughly the same, the jump from 50MP to 200MP suggests a strong focus on ultra-high-resolution photography and advanced image processing.
If Oppo follows through with this setup, the Find X10 Pro could offer a rare combination of extreme resolution and large sensor hardware on both the main and telephoto cameras. This could benefit users who enjoy mobile photography, landscape shots, and long-range zoom without sacrificing image quality.
However, it’s worth noting that higher megapixel counts also rely heavily on software optimization. Oppo’s image processing and tuning will play a crucial role in determining how much real-world improvement users see over previous generations.
While no additional details about the Find X10 series have been revealed yet, past trends provide some clues. If Oppo continues its usual strategy, both the standard Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro are expected to be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 chipset, positioning them firmly in the flagship category.
The Find X10 lineup is rumored to debut around fall, and more concrete details are likely to emerge as the launch window approaches.
The leaked camera specifications suggest that Oppo is aiming to push the boundaries of smartphone photography once again. A dual 200MP setup with large sensors could give the Find X10 Pro a distinct edge, especially in zoom and low-light performance. While these details remain unconfirmed for now, the early signs point to a flagship that could set new benchmarks when it officially arrives.
