Oppo has officially introduced the Oppo Pad 5 during its Find X9 series event in China. Designed as a flagship productivity and entertainment tablet, the Oppo Pad 5 combines high-end hardware with advanced learning and cross-device capabilities. From its powerful Dimensity 9400+ chipset to the stunning 3K anti-glare display, this tablet is clearly built to compete with the best in the premium tablet market.
The Oppo Pad 5 features a large 12.1-inch LCD panel boasting a 3000×2120 resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, and an impressive 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. It also supports a 540Hz touch sampling rate for ultra-smooth input response. The screen delivers 900 nits of peak brightness, 10.7 billion colors, and 98% DCI-P3 coverage, making it ideal for both creators and gamers.
Oppo has also addressed glare and eye strain with its matte nano-etched variant, which reduces reflections by 97% and enhances visual clarity by 22%. Additionally, it carries TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification, ensuring comfort during extended use.
Under the hood, the Oppo Pad 5 runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ processor — a flagship 3nm chip paired with an Immortalis G925 MC12 GPU. The tablet scores over 3.05 million on AnTuTu, confirming its top-tier performance. It also includes Oppo’s Tidal Engine for adaptive performance tuning and a Tiangong cooling system with a 39% larger heat dissipation area to keep temperatures low during heavy workloads.
The device operates on ColorOS 16, offering multitasking support for up to five simultaneous windows, advanced file-sharing across Oppo devices, and education-focused features for students and professionals alike.
Both the front and rear cameras of the Oppo Pad 5 are 8MP shooters supporting 4K 30fps video recording with electronic image stabilization. It also offers Super Steady Mode for 1080p recording and time-lapse video options, ensuring high-quality visuals for video calls and creative projects.
The tablet houses a massive 10,420mAh battery, capable of handling long productivity or entertainment sessions. It supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, and Oppo claims that a 10-minute charge provides up to 10 hours of video playback. The device also supports UFCS, PPS, and PD charging protocols through its USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth with aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0 codecs. The Oppo Pad 5 comes with LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB) and UFS 4.1 storage (up to 512GB). Although it lacks microSD expansion, it delivers exceptional performance for large files and multitasking. The tablet is impressively sleek at 5.99mm thickness and weighs 577g in the matte finish variant.
The Oppo Pad 5 will be available in Lucky Purple, Galaxy Silver, and Deep Space Gray color options, launching in China on October 22.
