Oppo has officially unveiled the Reno 14 5G globally, expanding its flagship Reno series beyond China. Following its initial launch in China last month, the Reno 14 is set to debut in Malaysia on July 1, with availability already confirmed for Japan, where it will go on sale beginning July 17. The Reno 14 Pro, however, remains exclusive to China for now.
With a focus on imaging power, long-lasting battery life, and premium features, the Reno 14 5G aims to set a new standard in the mid-to-premium smartphone segment.
At its core, the Oppo Reno 14 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a robust and efficient processor built for high-performance tasks and smooth multitasking. It comes paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring lightning-fast performance whether gaming, streaming, or switching between apps.
To maintain optimal temperatures, the device features a large 4,700mm² vapor chamber cooling system, designed to effectively dissipate heat during intensive usage.
The Reno 14 5G sports a stunning 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2760 x 1256 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1200 nits—making it ideal for vibrant media viewing and smooth scrolling. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, offering improved resistance against scratches and drops.
Despite its large battery, the phone maintains a sleek profile, measuring just 7.4mm thick and weighing 187 grams. The device is also IP68/IP69 rated, making it dust-tight and capable of withstanding high-pressure water jets—ideal for durability in various environments.
Photography is a major highlight of the Oppo Reno 14 5G. On the rear, the phone boasts a triple-camera setup:
On the front, there's an impressive 50MP autofocus selfie camera, capable of recording 4K video at 60fps—perfect for content creators and video calling in high resolution.
Fueling the Oppo Reno 14 5G is a robust 6,000mAh battery, one of the largest in its category. It supports 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, allowing for quick top-ups. However, the phone does not support wireless charging.
Running ColorOS 15 based on the latest Android 15, the Reno 14 5G is among the first phones to ship with Google’s newest OS. It comes packed with features for a smooth, customizable user experience.
Connectivity-wise, it supports dual SIM, eSIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and includes dual stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking.
While Oppo has not yet disclosed the official global pricing, the Reno 14 5G will first be available in Japan starting July 17. The phone will come in two elegant color options: Luminous Green and Opal White. With its global rollout beginning soon, more markets are expected to follow.
With its bold camera setup, long battery life, and sleek design, the Oppo Reno 14 5G is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium mid-range segment.
