Poco has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated Poco F8 series will be unveiled on November 26. The global launch event is scheduled to take place in Bali, Indonesia, marking a major step for Poco as it brings its next-generation performance smartphones to the international market. With two powerful models — the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra — the brand aims to deliver flagship-grade hardware at competitive pricing.
Interestingly, while the series includes three models (Poco F8, F8 Pro, and F8 Ultra), the standard Poco F8 is not expected to debut at this event. Instead, the spotlight will be on the Pro and Ultra variants.
The Poco F8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED screen, while the larger F8 Ultra may come with a 6.9-inch OLED panel. Both displays are likely to offer a sharp 1.5K resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, aiming to deliver vibrant colors, seamless animations, and impressive overall viewing quality.
The new F8 series will run on HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. The Poco F8 Pro is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Ultra variant may use the even more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This significant performance boost suggests that Poco is positioning these devices as serious contenders in the premium smartphone segment.
The Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra will feature a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, the F8 Pro is expected to carry a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
The Poco F8 Ultra is projected to push things further with three 50-megapixel sensors for its wide, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto cameras, making it a flagship-grade photography device.
The Poco F8 Ultra is rumoured to include an extra rear speaker, enhancing the audio experience over the standard top-and-bottom speaker layout. Both models are likely to support 100W wired charging, while the Ultra variant may also include 50W wireless charging for added convenience.
It has also been reported that while the Poco F8 Pro and Ultra share design and core specifications with the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max launched in China, the Poco versions may come with slightly smaller batteries.
The launch event on November 26 will be a global affair broadcast from Bali, Indonesia, where Poco is expected to showcase the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra. The standard F8 model may arrive at a later date, considering current leaks.
