Realme has officially expanded its premium mid-range portfolio in India with the launch of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. The new Pro series is clearly aimed at users who want flagship-like specifications without stepping into ultra-premium pricing. With high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, powerful 4nm chipsets, advanced camera systems led by a 200-megapixel sensor, and industry-leading 7,000mAh batteries, the Realme 16 Pro lineup makes a strong statement in the upper mid-range segment.
The Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ feature large AMOLED displays with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, delivering fluid scrolling, responsive gaming, and an overall premium visual experience. Both panels support 1.07 billion colours and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, ensuring rich colours and deep blacks across all content types.

Realme 16 Pro
The Realme 16 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display, making it a practical choice for users who prefer a traditional screen design. In contrast, the Realme 16 Pro+ features a slightly larger 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display, adding a more immersive and premium feel. Brightness is another area where the Pro+ stands out, reaching up to 6,500 nits, while the Pro variant offers up to 1,800 nits, which is still more than sufficient for outdoor visibility.
Both displays support the DCI-P3 colour gamut, making them well-suited for streaming, gaming, and creative work.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, while the Realme 16 Pro+ runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. Both processors are built on a 4nm process, offering improved power efficiency and sustained performance.
The devices support up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM along with an additional 14GB of dynamic RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking even under heavy workloads. Storage is handled by fast UFS 3.1 technology, with options going up to 256GB on the Realme 16 Pro and up to 512GB on the Realme 16 Pro+, giving users plenty of space for apps, photos, and videos.
Photography is one of the key highlights of the Realme 16 Pro series. Both smartphones feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main camera with optical image stabilization, allowing for highly detailed shots and improved low-light performance.

Realme 16 Pro+ Camera Features
The Realme 16 Pro pairs the main sensor with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, offering flexibility for landscape and group photography. The Realme 16 Pro+ takes things a step further by adding a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, making it a compelling option for users who enjoy zoom photography without compromising on image quality.
On the front, both devices feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with 4K video recording support, catering to vloggers, video callers, and social media enthusiasts.
Battery life is another major strength of the Realme 16 Pro series. Both models are equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery, which is among the largest in this segment. This capacity ensures extended usage across gaming, streaming, and productivity tasks without frequent charging.
When it comes to charging, Realme includes 80W fast charging support via a USB Type-C port. This allows users to quickly top up the large battery, minimizing downtime despite the high capacity.
The Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ ship with Android 16 out of the box, layered with the latest Realme UI 7. The software experience focuses on customization, smooth animations, and practical AI-driven features.
Realme has also committed to long-term support for the Pro series, promising three years of Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. This makes the devices a reliable choice for users planning to keep their phones for several years.
Both smartphones come well-equipped with modern connectivity and convenience features. These include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared remote control, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and extensive 5G band support for future-ready connectivity.
Durability is also a key focus, as the Realme 16 Pro series carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, offering enhanced protection against daily wear and environmental exposure.
The Realme 16 Pro is available in three configurations. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 31,999, the 8GB with 256GB variant costs Rs 33,999, and the top-end 12GB with 256GB model is priced at Rs 36,999. Colour options include Pebble Grey, Orchid Purple, and Master Gold.

Both smartphones are now available for purchase via Flipkart, realme.com, and offline retail stores across India.

With the Realme 16 Pro series, the brand has delivered a compelling combination of premium features, strong performance, and aggressive pricing. The inclusion of 144Hz AMOLED displays, 200MP cameras, massive batteries, and long-term software support makes both models highly competitive in the upper mid-range smartphone market.
