Redmi fans have something new to look forward to this month as the brand has finally pulled back the curtain on the design of its much-anticipated Redmi K80 Ultra flagship smartphone and the Redmi K Pad gaming tablet. While the official launch date is still under wraps, a newly released promotional poster gives us our first look at these upcoming devices.
The Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad are shown in a fresh green color variant with a matte finish, giving them a premium and elegant appearance. The K80 Ultra’s design language continues the aesthetic seen in the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, which launched in November 2024, but with subtle refinements.
The K80 Ultra sports a circular camera module on the back, housing a 50MP dual-camera system with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The rounded camera design aligns with Redmi’s current flagship design strategy and maintains visual consistency across the lineup.
In contrast, the Redmi K Pad follows a minimalist design on the back, with a single rear camera and LED flash. Despite its simple look, the K Pad is geared toward power users and gamers, competing directly with the iPad Mini 7, Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, and Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4).
Both the Redmi K80 Ultra and the Redmi K Pad were recently spotted on Geekbench, hinting at flagship-level performance. The devices are rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and running Android 15 out of the box.
With premium specs and aggressive design language, both the Redmi K80 Ultra and K Pad appear to be tailored for gamers and heavy users. The Redmi K Pad, in particular, is a notable entry into the compact tablet space, which has seen growing interest from gamers looking for powerful yet portable devices.
Despite revealing the design and confirming their existence, Redmi has yet to announce the official launch date for the K80 Ultra and K Pad. However, with teasers ramping up and benchmark listings surfacing, an official launch is likely just around the corner—possibly before the end of June 2025.
Redmi seems poised to disrupt both the flagship phone and compact tablet markets with the K80 Ultra and K Pad. With top-tier hardware, Android 15, and modern designs, these devices could be major contenders in their segments once released. All eyes are now on the official launch date, which should be revealed soon.
