Samsung has officially announced a significantly upgraded version of its Samsung Care+ protection plan, aimed at offering greater peace of mind to customers across Europe. Rolling out today in 17 European markets, the enhanced Care+ package brings broader coverage, more flexible payment options, and faster service — making it one of Samsung’s most comprehensive device protection offerings to date.
One of the biggest improvements to Samsung Care+ is the introduction of unlimited accidental damage cover. This includes protection against everyday mishaps such as drops, knocks, and liquid spills. Samsung has also simplified the process by introducing a more streamlined excess fee, making claims easier and more predictable for users.
Samsung has removed the previous 60-day travel limit, allowing Care+ users to receive support both at home and while traveling abroad without restrictions. This change is particularly beneficial for frequent travelers who rely on uninterrupted device support wherever they go.
To make repairs more accessible, Samsung has added 175 new walk-in repair locations across Europe. Customers can now choose between visiting a nearby service center or sending their device in for repair, depending on what’s most convenient for them.
Another key enhancement is battery coverage beyond the standard manufacturer warranty. If a device’s battery health drops below 80% after the standard warranty period ends, Samsung Care+ customers are eligible for a free battery replacement. This ensures devices maintain reliable performance over time without additional cost.
Samsung Care+ now also covers mechanical and electrical failures that occur after the standard warranty period expires. As long as the Care+ policy remains active, Samsung will handle eligible repairs, adding an extra layer of long-term protection.
Samsung has introduced a new monthly payment option that allows customers to spread the cost of Care+ over up to 60 months. Users can cancel the plan at any time, offering greater flexibility. This monthly plan complements the existing fixed two-year Care+ option for those who prefer a shorter commitment.
For customers seeking additional security, Samsung now offers optional theft and loss coverage. Once a claim is approved, a replacement device will be dispatched within 48 hours. However, there are a few conditions: users can make a maximum of two successful theft or loss claims per year, and Samsung Knox Guard must be activated within 30 days of starting the Care+ policy.
With these upgrades, Samsung has made its Care+ protection plan more flexible, more comprehensive, and better suited for long-term device ownership. Unlimited accidental damage coverage, international support without time limits, expanded repair locations, and optional theft and loss protection make the enhanced Samsung Care+ plan a compelling choice for European customers looking to safeguard their devices beyond the standard warranty.
