Samsung has once again expanded its premium gaming monitor lineup with the release of the Odyssey G7 G75F, a cutting-edge 37-inch curved display that blends immersive visuals with high-performance specs. Designed for gamers who demand smooth gameplay, vibrant color, and an expansive screen real estate, the G75F is packed with features aimed at delivering a next-gen gaming experience.
At the heart of the G75F is a 37-inch VA panel with a deep 1000R curvature, offering an enveloping visual field that matches the natural curve of the human eye. The display supports 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), ensuring ultra-crisp image quality for both gaming and creative tasks.
The monitor boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (GtG), reducing motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced action. Enhanced with HDR10+ and VESA DisplayHDR 600, it offers deeper contrasts and brighter highlights, enriching gaming and multimedia content.
Color reproduction is another strong point, with 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 coverage, along with support for 1.07 billion colors. A static contrast ratio of 3000:1 ensures rich blacks and detailed shadows. Brightness peaks at 350 cd/m², with a minimum of 280 cd/m², and 178° wide viewing angles maintain color consistency from nearly any perspective.
The Odyssey G75F supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which minimizes screen tearing and input lag for a smoother gaming experience. Although NVIDIA G-Sync is not supported, FreeSync ensures a seamless experience with compatible AMD GPUs.
Samsung integrates various gamer-centric features such as Picture-in-Picture, Ultrawide Game View, Black Equalizer, and Virtual Aim Point, giving players the tools to optimize visibility and aiming precision.
For long gaming sessions, Eye Saver Mode and Flicker-Free technology reduce eye strain, making the monitor suitable for extended use.
The G75F not only performs well but also stands out visually. Its CoreSync and CoreLighting+ features allow the monitor to react to on-screen content with ambient lighting in 16.7 million colors, creating a dynamic gaming environment.
The ergonomic stand offers 120mm height adjustment, tilt (-5° to 20°), and swivel (-20° to 20°) options, ensuring comfort and flexibility. It is also VESA mountable (100 x 100), enabling easy wall or arm mounting for customized setups.
Connectivity options are robust, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B upstream, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 downstream, and a headphone jack. Notably, the monitor does not include a USB-C port and lacks built-in speakers.
Weighing 11.2 kg with the stand and 7.2 kg without, the Odyssey G75F has a solid build. Its dimensions with the stand are 816 x 674.4 x 303.8 mm. The package includes a 1.5-meter power cable, a DisplayPort cable, and a USB 3.0 cable.
While the Odyssey G75F has debuted on Samsung’s Malaysian website at RM 4,399 (roughly USD 1,038), there is currently no official announcement on global availability. Enthusiasts outside Malaysia may have to wait a bit longer for broader release details.
If you’re looking for a premium gaming monitor that combines sharp visuals, fluid gameplay, and immersive design, the Odyssey G75F is an excellent option. Its high refresh rate, wide color gamut, and curved 4K screen make it ideal for both gaming and media consumption. However, those who rely heavily on USB-C or demand G-Sync compatibility may want to consider alternatives.
The Samsung Odyssey G7 G75F sets a new benchmark for curved gaming monitors, especially in the ultra-wide 4K category. While global availability is still pending, the feature-rich design and immersive experience it offers are worth the wait for gamers seeking top-tier performance.
