CES 2024, starting next week, heralds Samsung's showcase of new OLED monitors among other gadgets. The lineup features the ultra-wide curved Odyssey OLED G9, and for the first time, introduces flat OLED models—G8 and G6.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD) boasts a colossal 49” display, delivering a 5,120 x 1,440px resolution with a 32:9 aspect ratio akin to dual 16:9 displays without a center bezel.
In contrast, the Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) presents a 32” 4K OLED monitor with a flat panel, catering to users averse to curved displays. It retains a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and offers a 3,840 x 2,160px resolution.
Both the G9 and G8 impress with a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, Smart TV capabilities with Tizen, Samsung Gaming Hub support for game streaming sans PC or console, and SmartThings Hub functionality for seamless smart home control.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) is a 27” flat QHD OLED monitor boasting a 360Hz refresh rate and a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, ideal for high-performance gaming.
These monitors also facilitate easy connectivity with HDMI 2.1 ports, USB hubs, DisplayPort 1.4 inputs for single-cable laptop connectivity, and come with adjustable stands and Core Lightning+ RGB lighting for ambiance.
Set for a debut at CES, these monitors anticipate revealing launch specifics—dates and pricing—detailing their imminent release.
