TCL debuted its NXTPAPER technology back in 2021, and its recent unveiling of NXTPAPER 3.0 at CES 2024 in Las Vegas marks a significant advancement. Designed with a focus on optimizing the user experience, the latest iteration brings a host of enhancements aimed at promoting visual health.
One of the standout features touted by TCL is NXTPAPER's ability to filter harmful blue light by up to 61%, all while maintaining sharp image quality, deep contrasts, vibrant colors, and a natural visual flow. Building on this foundation, NXTPAPER 3.0 continues to refine these advantages, emphasizing an optimized experience for both sight and touch.
At the core of this enhancement lies the Circularly Polarized Light (CPL) screen, replicating the natural "emission - reflection - refraction" path of light, effectively mimicking the comfort of reading under natural light. This upgrade significantly enhances the screen's paper-like appearance, enhancing overall eye comfort for prolonged usage.
Moreover, the NXTPAPER software introduces an eye-care assistant, aiding users in developing healthy digital viewing habits. Features such as a rest reminder, aligning with the "20-20-20" rule for eye care, and detection of poor lighting and proximity, further underscore TCL's commitment to user well-being.
In NXTPAPER 3.0, advancements encompass higher refresh rates, DC Dimming for a flicker-free experience, and an Adaptive Color Temperature system. The latter, powered by an RGB sensor, automatically adjusts the display's color temperature based on ambient light and time, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience across various lighting conditions.
This innovative technology will debut in products like the NXTPAPER 14 Pro tablet, TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G tablet, and the 50 Series smartphones, all introduced at CES 2024. These devices will also feature the 3-in-1 VersaView UI, offering three distinct modes tailored for different scenarios. The Normal View provides a default low blue light setting, the Color Paper Mode is ideal for comic reading with reduced contrast, while the Ink Paper Mode delivers a pleasant e-reading experience in black and white.
