Ulefone is preparing to expand its rugged smartphone lineup with the upcoming Ulefone RugKing, set to launch next month. While the brand has yet to officially confirm details, leaked images and specifications from a reliable source have revealed almost everything about the device — including its expected price.
At the core of the Ulefone RugKing lies the Unisoc T7255 SoC, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage comes in at 256GB UFS 2.2, with the option to expand by up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD slot. The device will ship with Android 15 out of the box, although the software update policy remains unclear.
The RugKing features a 5.99-inch HD+ LCD panel, offering a 60Hz refresh rate and 910 nits peak brightness. Powering the smartphone is a massive 9,600mAh battery, but charging support is capped at 18W, which feels underwhelming given the large capacity.
Photography is handled by a triple-camera system on the back, led by a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KJN1 main sensor. This is accompanied by a 2MP OmniVision OV02A10 macro camera, while the front sports an 8MP Samsung ISOCELL 4H8 selfie shooter.
True to its name, the Ulefone RugKing is designed for durability. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification, ensuring resistance to dust, water, and extreme conditions.
Additional highlights include:
The phone is built like a tank, measuring 18.3mm thick and weighing 397 grams. It will come in a single black color option.
According to the leak, the Ulefone RugKing will be priced at $149.99 and will be available through AliExpress starting in September 2025. At this price point, it positions itself as an affordable option for those seeking a rugged smartphone without compromising on essential features.
The Ulefone RugKing brings together massive battery life, rugged durability, and practical features in a budget-friendly package. While the 18W charging speed and basic display may not impress power users, the device seems tailored for outdoor adventurers, field workers, and anyone who values reliability over flashiness.
