Vivo has finally confirmed the launch date of its highly anticipated Vivo V60 smartphone in India. In an official announcement shared via social media, the brand revealed that the V60 will be unveiled on August 12. Positioned as the next premium offering in the V-series, the Vivo V60 promises to deliver a compelling blend of flagship-level camera technology, modern aesthetics, and long-lasting battery life.
The phone is rumored to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, offering a visually immersive experience for streaming, gaming, and browsing.
Performance-wise, the Vivo V60 could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. This setup is designed to handle multitasking and media consumption with ease.
One of the major highlights of the Vivo V60 is its powerful camera setup, developed in collaboration with ZEISS. The triple rear camera configuration is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, users can look forward to a 50MP selfie shooter, making the device an attractive option for content creators and photography enthusiasts.
Other expected features include dual stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, adding to the device's premium appeal. The V60 will also ship with Android 15, bringing refreshed UI elements and improvements to the FunTouch OS experience.
Vivo is promoting the V60 as the slimmest phone in its segment, a notable feat considering it packs a massive 6500mAh battery under its sleek frame. This not only promises all-day usage but also sets the device apart in terms of design and practicality.
The rear camera module, enhanced by ZEISS optics, is expected to support up to 100x digital zoom, catering to photography needs ranging from wide landscapes to detailed close-ups. This powerful zoom capability aligns well with the increasing demand for high-quality mobile photography.
The Vivo V60 is expected to be priced between ₹35,000 and ₹40,000 in India, positioning it within the upper mid-range smartphone segment. It will be available in three elegant color options: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue and Mist Gray.
These color variants aim to appeal to users who value both style and substance in their smartphones.
With a confirmed launch date of August 12, the Vivo V60 is shaping up to be a strong contender in India’s competitive smartphone market. From its ZEISS-enhanced camera system and sleek design to a large battery and flagship-like display, the V60 ticks many boxes for consumers looking for a premium yet balanced device. In addition to the Vivo V60, the company is also preparing to unveil another smartphone, the Vivo Y400 5G, on August 4. This indicates Vivo’s aggressive strategy in expanding its portfolio across multiple price segments.
