After weeks of teasers and speculation, Vivo has officially confirmed the launch date of its next V-series smartphones in India. The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are set to debut on February 19 at 12 PM IST, and the brand is clearly positioning these devices as premium contenders in the upper mid-range segment. With an emphasis on design, display quality, and camera performance, the V70 series aims to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
One of the biggest talking points of the Vivo V70 series is its design. Vivo claims that both smartphones feature some of the narrowest bezels in their price category, measuring just 1.25 mm. Interestingly, this makes them even slimmer than the bezels found on flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is an impressive achievement.
Both the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite sport a 6.59-inch display with a 1.5K resolution, offering a sharp pixel density of 459 ppi. The screens support a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and fluid animations, whether you’re gaming or browsing. Adding to the premium experience is a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, making outdoor visibility excellent, along with support for 1.07 billion colors for rich and accurate visuals.
Under the hood, Vivo has clearly differentiated the two models. The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, delivering near-flagship performance. The device has already surfaced on Geekbench, where it scored 1,973 points in single-core and 4,863 points in multi-core tests, indicating strong real-world performance for multitasking and demanding applications.

The standard Vivo V70, on the other hand, runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a capable chipset designed to balance performance and efficiency for everyday use.
Both smartphones pack a large 6,500mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage with ease. Charging is handled by 90W wired fast charging, which should significantly reduce downtime. Adding to their durability credentials, the devices come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering robust protection against dust and water.
Photography continues to be a strong focus for Vivo, and the V70 series reflects that clearly. Both models feature a Zeiss-powered triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization. This is complemented by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an ultrawide camera, making the setup versatile for different shooting scenarios.
On the front, Vivo has equipped both phones with a 50-megapixel selfie camera, catering to users who prioritize high-quality selfies and video calls. With Zeiss optics in play, users can expect improved color accuracy, sharper details, and better low-light performance.
Vivo is offering a vibrant set of color choices across the two models. The Vivo V70 will be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, appealing to users who prefer bold and youthful designs. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite adds a more refined touch with Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black, catering to those who lean towards a premium aesthetic.
As of now, Vivo has not revealed the official pricing or sale details for the V70 and V70 Elite. The company has confirmed that pricing and availability information will be announced closer to the February 19 launch event, so interested buyers will need to wait a bit longer for the final details.
The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are shaping up to be strong additions to Vivo’s smartphone lineup in India. With ultra-slim bezels, high-quality displays, powerful chipsets, fast charging, and Zeiss-backed cameras, the V70 series ticks many of the right boxes. If Vivo manages to price these devices competitively, they could easily become some of the most attractive options in their segment when they officially launch later this month.
