Oppo has officially refreshed its popular Reno lineup with the global launch of the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max and Reno 15 Pro. Positioned in the premium mid-range segment, the new Reno models bring several flagship-inspired upgrades, including advanced camera hardware, high-quality AMOLED displays, a powerful MediaTek chipset, and large batteries designed for all-day use.
With this launch, Oppo is clearly aiming to blur the line between upper mid-range and flagship smartphones, offering features that were once reserved only for top-tier devices.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max comes with a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display featuring a full-HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is designed to deliver vibrant colors, deep blacks, and fluid animations, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming.
For users who prefer a more compact phone, the Reno 15 Pro offers a 6.32-inch AMOLED display while retaining the same 120Hz refresh rate. Despite the smaller size, it does not compromise on visual quality, ensuring a premium viewing experience across both models.
Both smartphones run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and feature IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing strong protection against dust and water, a feature still rare in this segment.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max and Reno 15 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. This processor is built to handle demanding tasks, multitasking, and advanced imaging features with ease.
Both devices are equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, ensuring smooth performance even with heavy usage. In terms of storage, the Reno 15 Pro Max is offered in a single 12GB + 512GB configuration, while the Reno 15 Pro comes with 12GB + 256GB storage. UFS 3.1 storage further enhances app load times and data transfer speeds.
One of the biggest highlights of the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max and Reno 15 Pro is their flagship-level camera setup. Both smartphones feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and optical image stabilisation, designed to capture highly detailed photos in a wide range of lighting conditions.

The camera system also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, autofocus, and optical image stabilisation, allowing users to shoot sharp zoomed-in photos without losing clarity. Completing the setup is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus, making it suitable for landscapes, group shots, and creative photography.
On the front, both phones feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus, offering crisp self-portraits and high-quality video calls.
Battery life is another area where Oppo has focused its attention. The Reno 15 Pro Max packs a large 6,500mAh battery, supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. This combination ensures fast top-ups and added convenience for users who prefer wireless charging.
The Reno 15 Pro houses a slightly smaller 6,200mAh battery but still supports 80W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge and get back to their day.
In terms of connectivity, both models offer a comprehensive set of features, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, and dual SIM support. Security is handled through an in-display fingerprint sensor, adding to the premium feel of the devices.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is priced at NTD 24,990, which roughly translates to around $800, for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It is available in Twilight Gold and Desert Brown color options.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro is priced at NTD 20,990, or approximately $670, for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It comes in Aurora Blue and Desert Blue shades.
Both smartphones are currently available in Taiwan, with Oppo expected to roll them out in more global markets in the near future.
With the Reno 15 Pro Max and Reno 15 Pro, Oppo has delivered a strong upgrade to its Reno series. The combination of a 200MP triple camera system, powerful Dimensity chipset, premium displays, and large batteries makes these phones highly competitive in the premium mid-range category. As global availability expands, the Reno 15 series could appeal strongly to users looking for flagship-like features without stepping into ultra-premium pricing.
