Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Electric Scooter 6 Lite, the most affordable model in its latest Electric Scooter 6 lineup. Positioned below the standard Scooter 6 and the higher-end 6 Max, this new Lite variant is clearly aimed at urban commuters who need a practical and efficient solution for short city rides. With a compact design, balanced performance, and Xiaomi’s familiar smart features, the Electric Scooter 6 Lite focuses on everyday usability rather than raw power.
Powering the Electric Scooter 6 Lite is a Hall-effect brushless motor that delivers 300W of continuous power and can peak at 500W when extra torque is needed. This setup allows the scooter to reach a top speed of 25 km/h, which is ideal for city roads and bike lanes.
The scooter can handle slopes with a gradient of up to 15 percent, making it suitable for flyovers and mild inclines commonly found in urban areas. Riders can choose between three riding modes depending on traffic and comfort:
These modes make the scooter adaptable to different environments, from crowded streets to open roads.
The Electric Scooter 6 Lite comes equipped with a 216 Wh ternary lithium battery. In Standard mode at 15 km/h, Xiaomi claims a maximum range of up to 25 km, which is more than sufficient for daily commutes. When switched to Sport mode at full speed, the range drops slightly to around 20 km.
This balance between performance and efficiency makes the scooter ideal for short trips, office commutes, or quick errands without frequent charging.
To handle uneven roads, Xiaomi has added a 25 mm dual-spring front suspension, which helps absorb shocks from bumps and potholes. The scooter also rides on 10-inch pneumatic tires, improving grip and overall stability on different road surfaces.
Braking duties are handled by a front drum brake paired with a rear E-ABS system, ensuring controlled and responsive stopping. For visibility and safety, the scooter features a 2.5W front headlight that illuminates up to 15 meters ahead, while the rear brake light flashes during braking to alert vehicles behind.
Between the handlebars sits a clean and simple digital display that shows speed, current riding mode, and battery level at a glance. For deeper control and monitoring, the Electric Scooter 6 Lite can be connected to the Xiaomi Home app.
Through the app, users can check remaining range, battery health, trip history, and tire pressure. It also allows riders to lock the motor remotely and fine-tune energy recovery settings, adding an extra layer of convenience and security.
The scooter’s frame is made from high-strength carbon structural steel, giving it a sturdy build that can support riders weighing up to 100 kg. Despite the solid construction, it weighs just 18.1 kg, making it relatively easy to carry when folded.
It is designed for riders between 140 cm and 200 cm in height, within the age range of 16 to 50 years. The folded dimensions measure 1140 x 512 x 555 mm, allowing it to fit into car trunks or be stored at home without taking up much space.
For weather protection, the body has an IPX4 water resistance rating, while the battery is rated IPX6, offering better protection against splashes and rain.
Xiaomi has announced the Electric Scooter 6 Lite for the global market, but official pricing has not yet been revealed. Given its position as the entry-level model in the Electric Scooter 6 series, it is expected to be competitively priced once it becomes available in different regions.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Lite focuses on what matters most for city commuters: reliable performance, decent range, comfortable riding, and smart features. While it may not offer the longest range or the most powerful motor in Xiaomi’s lineup, it delivers a well-rounded experience for short daily trips. If priced aggressively, the Electric Scooter 6 Lite could become a popular choice for riders looking for an affordable and practical electric scooter for everyday urban use.
