Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Note 15R in China, a new addition to the Note series that stands out for its massive 7,000mAh battery and reverse wired charging support. Unlike the regular Redmi Note 15, this model focuses on long-lasting power, capable of charging accessories like earphones and even other smartphones.
On the front, the Note 15R sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate and 850 nits peak brightness (HBM), ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth motion for gaming and media. The panel also supports wet-hand touch input and a 288Hz touch sampling rate, enhancing responsiveness during fast-paced tasks.
In terms of build, the phone measures 8.4mm thick, weighs 217 grams, and comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Buyers can choose from Glacier White, Shadow Black, and Quicksand Purple finishes.
The Redmi Note 15R is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset (6nm, 2.3GHz), paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage for efficient multitasking and faster app loading.
It runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, and Xiaomi promises 48 months of smooth performance, giving users long-term reliability in day-to-day usage.
For photography, the Note 15R includes a 50MP main rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera. While not the most advanced camera system, it delivers sufficient performance for casual photography and social media usage.
The biggest highlight of the Redmi Note 15R is its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed for durability of up to five years without significant degradation. The phone supports 33W wired fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging, making it a powerhouse for long usage and even doubling as a backup charger for other devices.
The device also features Dolby Atmos support, a 200% volume boost, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and an infrared remote sensor, making it versatile for multimedia and daily tasks.
