XMG, the gaming brand of Schenker, has unveiled two powerful yet lightweight aluminium laptops — the XMG CORE 15 (M25) and XMG CORE 16 (M25). Aimed at gamers and power users who value performance in a portable form factor, both models feature AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processors and NVIDIA’s new RTX 5070/5060 GPUs, delivering an impressive mix of efficiency and raw power.
The CORE 15 measures 342 × 237 × 21.9 mm and weighs 1.95 kg, while the larger CORE 16 comes in at 355.5 × 254 × 23 mm and 2.1 kg. Despite their slim frames, both laptops pack a massive 99.8 Wh battery, capable of delivering over 8 hours of video playback at 150 nits brightness. For light office tasks, users can expect even longer runtimes, making these machines versatile enough for gaming and productivity on the go.
At the heart of these laptops are AMD Ryzen AI CPUs, configurable from the 8-core Ryzen AI 7 350 up to the 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. GPU options include the NVIDIA RTX 5060 and RTX 5070, with power budgets of up to 115 W plus 15 W Dynamic Boost.
The CORE 15 sustains up to 90 W CPU power, while the CORE 16 reaches 100 W, allowing users to unlock higher levels of performance. Combined CPU-GPU power limits stand at 150 W for the CORE 15 and 160 W for the CORE 16. Through the XMG Control Center, users can fine-tune GPU wattage, adjust fan curves, and optimize performance modes to suit different workloads.
Both models sport 2,560 × 1,600 IPS displays with a fast 300 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. The CORE 15 covers 100% sRGB, while the CORE 16 goes further with full DCI-P3 coverage, making it more appealing for creators who demand accurate colors.
In terms of memory and storage, both laptops support up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 RAM and dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for a staggering 16 TB SSD capacity, ensuring future-proof expandability.
XMG has redesigned the thermal system to enhance comfort and efficiency. Instead of side vents blowing hot air toward the mouse hand, the new design pushes airflow through rear outlets with copper heatsinks.
The CORE 15 uses dual 70 mm fans, while the CORE 16 features a combination of 84 mm and 70 mm fans. Both laptops utilize Honeywell PTM-7958 phase-change thermal pads on the CPU and GPU, ensuring stable temperatures even during extended high-performance tasks.
Connectivity is equally impressive. Both laptops offer:
The CORE 15 goes a step further with two HDMI 2.1 outputs, supporting up to five external displays, while the CORE 16 includes one HDMI 2.1 port and supports four external displays.
The XMG CORE 15 and CORE 16 are available now via bestware.com with a 5% launch discount. Base configurations start at €1,549 for the CORE 15 and €1,579 for the CORE 16, including a Ryzen AI 7 350, RTX 5060 GPU, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and 1 TB SSD.
Upgrade options include:
With their balance of slim design, cutting-edge Ryzen AI processors, RTX 40-series graphics, and robust cooling, the XMG CORE 15 and CORE 16 aim to deliver top-tier gaming and productivity performance at competitive pricing.
