Motorola has officially unveiled its latest addition to the mid-range lineup – the Moto X70 Air, a smartphone that beautifully balances design elegance and powerful performance. At just under 6mm thick and weighing only 159 grams, it represents a new chapter in Motorola’s pursuit of slim yet capable smartphones. Despite its ultra-thin profile, the Moto X70 Air impressively packs a 4,800mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging support.
This model follows the trend set by ultra-thin flagships like the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air, but manages to retain a larger battery and more practical durability for everyday users.
The Moto X70 Air stands out for its sleek 6mm metal body, reinforced for durability. Motorola has focused on ensuring that the phone isn’t just thin, but also resistant to drops and water exposure. With IP68 and IP69 ratings, it can withstand submersion and even hot water jets—something few phones in this category can boast.
Available in stylish Pantone-certified colors — Gadget Gray, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green — each version features accent rings around the cameras and matching power buttons, adding a premium touch to its minimalist aesthetic.
The front is dominated by a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with 1220p+ resolution, ensuring vivid colors and smooth visuals. The screen delivers an impressive 4,500 nits peak brightness, offering excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.
A 50MP selfie camera sits in a small punch-hole cutout, backed by Motorola’s advanced AI imaging software. Beneath the display lies an optical fingerprint scanner, blending security seamlessly with the sleek design.
Under the hood, the Moto X70 Air is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, offering a balance of performance and efficiency ideal for multitasking and gaming. To keep the device cool, Motorola includes a 3D vapor chamber, ensuring consistent performance during extended use.
The phone comes equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, though it lacks a microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack, a trade-off for its ultra-slim profile.
Despite its thin build, the Moto X70 Air houses a 4,800mAh battery, larger than both the Galaxy S25 Edge (3,900mAh) and iPhone Air (3,149mAh). It supports 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging, ensuring users spend more time using their phone and less time charging it.
On the back, the Moto X70 Air features a dual-camera system comprising:
This setup delivers sharp, detailed photos and vibrant colors, whether capturing landscapes or close-ups.
The Motorola Moto X70 Air is currently listed on Lenovo.com in China, though the pricing details have yet to be revealed. Reports suggest a global release is imminent, with the international variant expected to launch as the Motorola Edge 70.
Given its design innovation, capable chipset, and solid camera setup, the Moto X70 Air could become one of the most appealing mid-range smartphones in the thin-profile category.
